Compact KFD keyfill device for two-way radios, based on the KFDShield originally designed by Natalie Moore at Omaha Communications Systems.
A 3D printed case is available as well - you can print it yourself using my files on printables, or purchase a 3D printed case from the store and support my work! You can also buy the KFDMicro and Case as a bundle and save a little change!
Don't forget a 3.5mm to Hirose adapter to use your existing hirose keyloading dongles!
Requires the OCS version of the KFDTool software, available here. Firmware updates can be done using the Arduino IDE. Note that these boards utilize the urBoot bootloader which requires a different set of board definition files to be installed - see the instructions here.
We are now shipping the updated revision B design with a smaller 3.5mm connector. They are functionally identical to the original revision A design but require the updated resin case.
Note that the KFDMicro uses the urBoot bootloader - to flash updated firmware with the Arduino IDE you will have to ensure that the MiniCore board definitions are installed in your IDE as described in these instructions.
