The updated version 2 design based on the original DVM-V24!
No more Cisco routers and WIC cards! Designed for use with the DVMProject DVMHost application, this board takes the synchronous 9600-baud RS232 HDLC signals from V24 RJ45 ports and converts it into standard asynchronous serial over a USB-C virtual serial port at 115200 baud. Now you can link together V24 networks without the complicated overhead of additional routers and expansion cards.
Boards are designed to mount via the 4 mounting holes, or in a Hammond 1455D60x extruded enclosure. We offer custom end plates, as well as a bundle that includes the Hammond enclosure!
The updated V2 boards include the following improvements over the legacy V1 boards:
- Firmware flashing over USB, no more STLink programmers required
- Dedicated USB host chip, eliminates issues with processor/usb hangs experienced by some users
The following devices have been confirmed to work with the DVM-V24 boards:
- Quantar/Quantro Repeaters (if you need wireline cards, consider W9CR's wireline adapter boards!)
- DIUs
The following devices are still in active development and have not yet been confirmed to work:
- MLC8000s
- CCGWs
