Want to use DVM hotspot hats without a Raspberry Pi? This adapter allows you to connect any Pi-hat form factor hotspot board to any PC, using a standard USB-C cable.
Onboard is a Silicon Devices CP2102 USB to serial converter, buttons for board reset and power cycling, M2.5 mounting holes, and a switch for the hotspot BOOT0 pin for ease of flashing. Additional status LEDs confirm proper power supply and serial TX/RX activity.
NOTE: This board does not supply 3.3V. While most MMDVM hotspot boards include an onboard regulator, some lower-cost boards leave the regulator footprint unpopulated and will not properly power up when used with the HS-USB adapter. Future revisions of the adapter will include an onboard 3.3V regulator to avoid this issue, but for now you may need to solder on the missing regulator to allow for proper operation.
Kit comes with two unsoldered 2x5 0.1" pin headers.
